2022 Mazda CX-5

For 2022, the Mazda CX-5 is available in S, Select, Preferred, Carbon Edition, Premium, Premium Plus, Turbo, and Turbo Signature trim levels. It features elegant, fluid curves that give the impression of motion, even at a standstill. The S trim has LED headlights, daytime running lights, rain-sensing wipers, 17-inch alloy wheels, power mirrors with LED turn signals, and a body-color roofline spoiler. Higher spec trims add features, such as auto-leveling headlights, a windshield wiper de-icer, a power liftgate, a power moonroof, adaptive front lighting, LED daytime running lights, LED taillights, and heated auto-folding mirrors. The Carbon Edition features 19-inch wheels, a unique grille, and exclusive Polymetal Gray paintwork. The Turbo and Turbo Signature trims each has unique, model-specific styling details and badging.

Standard power for the CX-5 is provided by a refined 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine delivering 187 horsepower and 186 pound-feet of torque via a six-speed automatic transmission. Turbo and Turbo Signature models get a powerful and responsive 2.5-liter turbocharged engine that generates 256 horsepower and 320 pound-feet of torque when filled with 93 octane gasoline.

The CX-5 offers keen steering and handling that make it fun to drive, while the standard i-Activ AWD and G-Vectoring Control Plus provide a confident driving experience. The base engine rewards you with up to 24 mpg around town and 30 mpg on the highway. The turbocharged models return up to 22 and 27 mpg for city and highway driving and can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in just 6.6 seconds. When properly equipped, the CX-5 has a towing capacity of up to 2,000 pounds.

In the CX-5's sophisticated and spacious cabin, you'll find upscale materials and fine craftsmanship that give it a luxury car feel. The base model offers push-button start, cloth seating, and a leather-bound steering wheel and shift knob. The infotainment system features a multifunction controller, a 10.25-inch central display, smartphone integration, Bluetooth, voice command, and Mazda Connected Services. Depending on the model, available interior features include leather upholstery, power-adjustable front seats, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, dual-zone climate control, paddle shifters, a wireless phone charger, a head-up display, and a 10-speaker Bose surround sound audio system. The Turbo trim has black leather upholstery with contrast red stitching, while the top-of-the-range Turbo Signature offers unique brown Nappa leather upholstery and genuine wood trim.

The CX-5's standard driver assistance features include dynamic stability control, traction control, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic warning, and smart brake support with collision alert and pedestrian detection. The Turbo Signature adds a 360-degree monitor, driver attention alert, rear automatic braking, traffic jam assist, and front and rear parking sensors.
