You wouldn't be surprised to find that brunch places are popular destinations in Jacksonville, FL. Brunch is very on trend, and that makes sense to us, since it's jam-packed with delicious choices to start a little later in the day when there's time to spread out and enjoy a carefully prepared meal with no rush. To help you decide which goodies to consider on your next brunch trip out, here are a few ideas to consider. Worth the Morning Drive: 5 Amazing Brunch Places in Jacksonville, FL 1. The Bread & Board Take your pick of the two locations of the Bread & Board, one of which is downtown; the other is in St. Johns Town Center North. Either way, people love their artisanal sandwiches, and for brunch, there are hearty choices like the butterscotch sticky buns, quiche, fried chicken on a biscuit, Cajun fish, and classic biscuits and gravy. This is only a small window into what the B&B offers, including a number of deli specialties you can also take to go. 2. Florida Cracker Kitchen Get ready for some classic Southern comfort food that people like a whole lot. The menu here includes such delights as fried catfish, grits, chicken and waffles, breakfast burritos, and freshly baked breads and cinnamon rolls. Skillet scrambles of eggs piled with meats, cheeses, and veggies may suit your savory side. More than 10 different omelets are on offer, many of them featuring a Mexican flavor profile, and there's even one built with fresh local oysters. 3. Metro Diner Brunchers, they're ready for you here. From chicken and waffles to the steak and scramble bowl to the avocado toast, you can leap from classic to trendy in a single meal. Sure, they have oatmeal, but they also have biscuits and gravy (but of course), omelets and Benedict dishes, and eggs and toast with your choice of hash browns or grits. Pancakes and waffles are well represented, and hey, if you want to eat all day, you can get lunch and dinner here as well. 4. Southern Grounds This growing local group of coffee shops has its fans. Bakery items like bagels, cakes, muffins, scones, and croissants set a nice cafe tone, while toasty breakfast sandwiches, eggs Benedict, pancakes, and omelets raise the brunch stakes. Lighter fare like yogurt dressed with fruit and granola, or a bowl of steel-cut oats, are available too. There's also a grits bowl that includes an egg, cheese, and bacon, if that suits your morning fancy. 5. First Watch With a focus on breakfast, brunch, and lunch, this local group of restaurants is popular, and why not, when it serves such items as the Chorizo Sunrise Sandwich, the Crab Cake Benedict, and shrimp and grits? You can always have a platter of eggs and bacon with a waffle or toast and home fries if you want to stick with trusty favorites. The extensive menu includes wraps, omelets, pancakes, fruit-topped French toast, and more. In a competitive and ever-growing class of vehicles, the 2022 Mazda CX-9 manages to stand out as one of the sleekest, safest, and most fun-to-drive 3-row crossovers on the market today. There's a lot to love about the new CX-9, so to get you started on learning about some of the most impressive features this crossover has to offer, we've put together a quick list of some of our favorites! 5 Impressive Features of the 2022 Mazda CX-9 1. Sleek Design Most 3-row crossovers can't claim to be particularly sleek-looking vehicles, but the 2022 CX-9 is an exception to the rule on this front. The new CX-9 manages to fit all of its practicality and size into the flowing, modern design that Mazdas are known for. Better yet, you can elevate your CX-9s appearance with an upgrade to the other trims available, like the Touring Plus, which adds aluminum roof rails, 20-inch alloy wheels, and a gloss black grille. 2. Turbocharged Engine for Punchy Performance Many of the vehicles in this segment opt for a V6, but in a bold move, Mazda has outfitted the CX-9 with a turbocharged four-cylinder engine. It's a move that pays off with better fuel economy than most of its rivals without ever feeling short on power, so it maintains Mazda's signature "Zoom Zoom" driveability that Mazda drivers have come to love in this brand. 3. Generous Standard Features The base trim of the 2022 CX-9, the CX-9 Sport, comes standard with plenty of cutting-edge features and technology to keep drivers safe, comfortable, and happy. Standard features on the CX-9 include 18-inch alloy wheels, heated side mirrors, keyless entry and ignition, rain-sensing wipers, cloth upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and more! You can build from that, but the generous range of standard features means your CX-9 will never feel lacking. 4. Wide Variety of Trim Levels to Choose From If you do decide to upgrade your CX-9 to another trim level, there are plenty of options to choose from. The CX-9 Sport is the first trim level, and an upgrade from there puts you at the CX-9 Touring or, new this year, the CX-9 Touring Plus. The Touring gives drivers leather seats, a garage opener, a powered tailgate, and more, while the Touring Plus adds 20-inch alloy wheels, fog lamps, a powered moon roof, and more. Beyond that, there are still three additional levels of trim available, with the highest level being the CX-9 Signature, with luxury features like Nappa leather seating, rosewood trim on the interior, a heads-up display, and much more. 5. State of the Art Safety and Driver Assistance Features The 2022 CX-9 has received an excellent 5-star NHTSA Overall Safety Rating, thanks in part to its generous suite of standard safety and driver assistance technology. This includes forward collision warning (which includes pedestrian detection and automatic emergency braking), adaptive cruise control, and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert. With all of this going for it, its no surprise the 2022 CX-9 has been so popular with our customers so far this year! To learn more about the 2022 CX-9, or to check out any of our other quality new and used vehicles, come on down and visit us at Mazda City of Orange Park today, and we'll help you find the perfect car for you!

Your car air filter is responsible for cleaning the air that flows into your engine. It traps dirt and other debris that could get into your engine and damage it. As the filter works, however, it will begin to clog up. A clogged filter will cause numerous problems for your engine. As your Mazda dealer, we can easily replace your filter. These are some of the benefits you'll gain when we replace the filter. 3 Benefits of Replacing Your Car Air Filter at Your Mazda Dealer Your Engine Will Run More Efficiently When the filter is clogged with dirt, it restricts the flow of air into your engine. For combustion to take place, you need air, fuel, and a spark. The fuel enters the chamber when you step on the gas, and the spark plugs provide the spark to ignite the mix. The lack of air means that much of the fuel won't be able to burn, and this fuel is forced out of the engine. When we replace the air filter, your engine will perform correctly. Combustion will return to its previous level, and you'll immediately notice that your engine has more power. Additional side effects like coughing sounds from the engine and popping sounds from the exhaust will all disappear. When your engine is running more efficiently, you'll also use less gas. You Prevent Damage to Your Engine As we saw above, a lack of air affects engine efficiency. A dirty filter will also lead to damage to your engine. The fuel-rich environment created by a lack of air means that much of the fuel is forced out of the engine. This fuel is very hot and gets dumped into the catalytic converter. Hot fuel can melt the cellular structure of the converter and this means it will have to be replaced. The fuel-rich atmosphere also damages the spark plugs, as inefficient combustion produces carbon. This carbon coats the spark plugs and damages them. It also reduces their ability to fire. When we replace the filter, it will prevent damage to the converter, the plugs, and other components. A clean filter will allow combustion to take place correctly. You Reduce Emissions The unburnt fuel that's forced out of your engine contains carbon monoxide and other dangerous chemicals. These chemicals are highly toxic and cause severe air pollution. You'll notice that the exhaust produces black smoke and has a strong smell of fuel. When your air filter is clean, the mix of air and fuel will be correct, and efficient combustion will occur. Combustion burns up many of these chemicals and reduces pollution. The residue from burnt fuel exits the engine and is cleaned by the catalytic converter. Your exhaust should produce a light gray smoke. It's very cheap and quick to replace an air filter. You'll save money, prevent damage to your car, and increase the lifespan of many engine components. When you need a new filter, call us at Mazda City of Orange Park. Our technicians will fit it for you.

Mazda's lineup of automobiles promises to deliver loads of driving excitement, excellent reliability, and exceptional passenger comfort. When you visit your local Mazda dealer, it's important to know that the maker also places a high priority on safety and has developed a number of innovative technologies to aid in that pursuit. Here's a look at some of the car safety features offered by Mazda vehicles! From Your Mazda Dealer: 4 Car Safety Features You'll Find on Today's Mazda Cars 1. Automatic Braking Systems In an effort to help reduce the number of rear-end collisions on busy city streets, Mazda has equipped its vehicles with the Smart City Brake Support (SCBS) system. Active at lower speeds, SCBS uses a windshield-mounted laser to scan for other vehicles in front of the car. Once it detects a probable collision, SCBS primes the brakes so that all of its power is available for when the driver brakes. The brakes automatically engage if the driver fails to take action. For higher speeds and greater distances, the Smart Brake Support (SBS) system provides similar assistance as the SCBS but uses millimeter-wave radar to detect vehicles approximately 650 feet away. These systems are complemented by alarms that will warn the driver in advance and include a display that shows the distance to the vehicle ahead. 2. Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert Collisions due to a driver's failure to notice another vehicle that's hiding in the blind spot when changing lanes is an all-too-common occurrence, but Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) greatly increases safety in this situation. The BSM system features radars mounted on both sides of the rear bumper that can detect vehicles within the blind spot and cover an area that reaches around 160 feet behind the Mazda. The system will play an audio alert and display a warning icon on the side-view mirror of the side where the detected vehicle is. Utilizing the BSM system's radars and warning displays, the Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA) provides valuable assistance when you're in a busy parking lot. RCTA will watch out for other cars approaching from either side so that you can safely back out of the parking space. 3. SKYACTIVE-Vehicle Architecture When Mazda constructs its automobiles, its goal is to enhance handling, which helps drivers maneuver the car safely and precisely, while maximizing protection during a collision. The manufacturer places impact-absorbing structures at key points of the vehicle's frame and uses high-strength, yet lightweight materials throughout the body to heighten rigidity. This design has also resulted in exceptional ergonomics, which gives the driver a better sense of coordination with the vehicle and makes them less likely to become tired. 4. Driver Attention Alert One major cause of accidents is when the driver becomes inattentive due to fatigue from a lack of rest. The Driver Attention Alert (DAA) system is capable of learning how the driver normally operates the car and will notice when the inputs begin to suggest a lack of concentration. The Multi-Information Display on the instrument panel will then show a warning indicating that a rest stop should be taken before continuing the trip. With its wealth of experience in pioneering revolutionary designs and technology, Mazda will provide you with a great peace of mind as you navigate the road.
