Sporty performance meets urban utility in the 2024 Mazda CX-50. This year, the five-passenger SUV has two rows of seating and many carryover features from the previous year.
Trim Levels of the 2024 Mazda CX-50
The first-tier trim is the 2.5 S SELECT is outfitted with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder SKYACTIV-G motor that produces 187 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque. The powertrain is matched with a six-speed SKYACTIV-Drive automatic transmission with a manual shift mode to enhance your driving experience.
You can customize the performance of the powertrain by activating one of the Mi-Drive modes. The Sport mode is ideal for freeway cruising, while the off-road model fine-tunes the SUVs torque for optimal road traction. This model also has a modest towing capacity of 2,000 lbs, which is perfect for hauling a small boat.
2.5 S PREFERRED
The second trim level introduces convenience features such as a power rear liftgate with programmable height so you can set how much the rear cargo door opens. Drivers will enjoy exceptional comfort with the eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with two-way lumbar support and three-stage heating.
2.5 S PREMIUM
You can enjoy a taste of open air freedom with the power panoramic moonroof, which can slide open and close at the push of a button. This model also has key exterior features like power-adjustable side mirrors with built-in LED turn signals.
2.5 S PREMIUM PLUS
The PREMIUM PLUS model elevates your driving experience with a full-color Active Driving Display, a feature that projects key vehicle information on the windshield. This model also has power-folding side mirrors for easy parking near walls and an auto-dimming rearview mirror with HomeLink, a feature that automatically opens your garage when you’re near home.
2.5 TURBO
The first TURBO trim upgrades the powertrain with a twin turbocharged motor that generates 227 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. This powertrain increases the towing capacity of the SUV to 3,500 lbs and adds a Mi-Drive Towing mode for optimal performance.
2.5 TURBO MERIDIAN
This model comes with 18-inch alloy wheels and all-terrain tires that are perfect for hitting the open trail. You can also benefit from auto-leveling LED headlights that continually adjust the angle of the headlights to improve your view of the road.
2.5 TURBO PREMIUM
The penultimate trim adds elevated features like a heated steering wheel, ventilated front seats, and a 12-speaker premium sound system. A three-month trial for SiriusXM radio is also standard.
2.5 TURBO PREMIUM PLUS
The highest trim level comes with a built-in navigation system and adds Traffic Sign Recognition technology to the Active Driving Display. Drivers can also enjoy access to three years of SiriusXM Traffic & Travel Link for weather, traffic, and sports updates.
