2024 Mazda CX-90 Basics

The CX-90 provides thrilling performance with its standard turbo engine, which creates 280 horsepower and 332 lb.-ft. of torque. Its optional engine produces up to 340 horsepower and 369 lb.-ft. of torque. Both setups include a mild hybrid system that gives the CX-90 a class-leading EPA-estimated 25 MPG combined fuel economy. All-wheel drive is standard on the CX-90, and it’s rear-biased for optimal steering and handling performance.

Inside, the CX-90’s well-appointed cabin is available in configurations for 6, 7, or 8 passengers. Three-zone automatic climate control is standard, so the driver, front passenger, and rear-seat passengers can choose their own temperature settings. The CX-90 has 15.9 cu. ft. of cargo space, with additional space to store items out of sight under the cargo floor. The rear seats can also be folded to make room for up to 75.2 cu. ft. of luggage or gear.

Many of the CX-90’s trim levels include a driver’s seat memory system, which can restore your set driving position with the press of a button. 3.3 Turbo S Premium and 3.3 Turbo S Premium Plus models take this concept even further with their Driver Personalization System.

This system includes Ideal Driving Position Assist, which uses an internal camera and the driver’s height to suggest the best position for the driver’s seat, steering wheel, and outside mirrors. You can save these settings to your Driver Profile, and your CX-90 uses facial recognition technology to restore your settings automatically.

Connected and Convenient Tech

Technology features are thoughtfully incorporated throughout the CX-90 to make your driving experience more entertaining and convenient. Standard features include a rear power liftgate, which opens with the press of a button, and High Beam Control, which automatically switches between high and low beams when another vehicle is detected ahead of you. The CX-90 also comes with a 3-year trial subscription to Mazda Connected Services, letting you remotely start your engine or locate your vehicle from your smartphone.

The Mazda Connect Infotainment System is displayed on the CX-90’s standard 10.25-inch or available 12.3-inch center screen, so you can easily see and control the settings of your 8-speaker audio system. You can also view directions and listen to music from your compatible smartphone when you connect it to the system using Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.
