The Mazda CX-30 is a stylish and versatile SUV that has been a welcome addition to the Mazda lineup since it was first introduced in the 2020 model year. The 2023 model sees minor adjustments to both powertrains, resulting in even more performance and fuel efficiency. The CX-30 is loaded with features that make it the ideal choice for those looking for a practical, yet sophisticated, SUV for their daily drive.

Three Impressive Features in the 2023 Mazda CX-30

1. Well-Appointed Interior Design

Mazda is well-known for its attention to detail when crafting interiors that channel affordable and accessible luxury, and the CX-30 is no exception. It shares many of the same design principles as the ever-popular Mazda-3, including ample legroom for up to five people, an 8.8-inch standard infotainment touchscreen, and ample storage cubbies in the front and rear passenger seats.

The infotainment system is integrated with the MyMazda app, allowing you to remotely start, lock and unlock, and monitor the status of your SUV even when it’s out of sight. Optional upgrades include a premium 12-speaker Bose sound system, leather seats and upholstery throughout the cabin, and an automatic dual-zone climate control system.

2. Efficient and Powerful Engines

The CX-30 is powered by two engine configurations: a 2.5L four-cylinder engine that produces 191 horsepower which is standard on almost every trim level, and a turbocharged 2L four-cylinder engine that provides 250 horsepower that is only available on the Turbo Premium and the Turbo Premium Plus trim levels. All trim levels come with AWD as standard as well, no matter the engine.

Both engines express that power with an impressive average fuel economy rating, with the standard 2.5L four-cylinder engine achieving 25 mpg in the city and 33 on the highway, while the turbocharged engine puts up a respectable 23 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway. The high relative fuel efficiency of the CX-30 over other SUVs in its class (and a few in different classes too!) makes it ideal for both daily commuting and longer drives.

3. Advanced Driver Assistance Features

Mazda makes use of its proprietary i-ACTIVSENSE technology that comes standard across all trim levels to keep you safe on the road. This software suite comes with radar-based adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capabilities, a lane departure warning system with lane-keeping assist, automatic high beam control, front pedestrian detection, and automatic emergency braking that can help avoid crashes and reduce the severity of a collision.

Optional upgrades include sensors to enable blindspot monitoring as well as a digital heads-up display that projects directly onto the windshield giving you real-time information about your vehicle’s performance.
